“Celebrate Craft…. Beer” is an annual charitable fundraiser celebrating 18 of our homegrown BC breweries, alongside a curated market of local artists. The funds raised will support the ongoing delivery of the Craft Council of BC’s “Craft Heritage and Me” program for under-served youth.”
As an artist and craft beer lover myself, I am a big fan of the idea of craft beer and craft wares under one roof. BC is so rich with creative people that this is a sure recipe for success. Rebecca Whyman of ‘What’s Brewing‘ Magazine, Chad Mcarthy, certified Cicerone and nationally ranked beer judge, and well known beer educator Ken Beattie from eurekabeerguide, are doing the judging. Each of the 18 breweries will have one seasonal beer entered in the competition as well as some other beers on tap. The prize is an amazing custom hand-crafted artisan tap-head. Live music and local hor d’oeuvres will be served in compliment of your favorite beers. The evening’s events will be raising money for the Craft Council of BC’s ‘Craft Heritage an Me ‘ program for underfunded youth. Tickets are only 37 bucks and can be purchased at www.eventbrite.ca.
